Few Important Incident in virtues of Surah Younus

We mention some famous incidents related to Surah Younus

1.Hazrat Abu Malik al-Ashari narrated that:

The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “O people, listen, understand, and know that Allah Almighty has servants who are neither prophets, nor martyrs, yet the prophets and martyrs admire them for their position and closeness to Allah.” A man among the bedouins of a distant land came, and he waved to the Prophet, saying, “O Prophet of Allah, describe them to us.” The Prophet was pleased by the bedouin’s question, and he said, “They are people from faraway lands and different tribes. They have no close familial relationship between them. They sincerely love each other for the sake of Allah. Allah will place them on pulpits of light on the Day of Resurrection and grant them an audience. He will place the light on their faces and light on their garments. People will be terrified on the Day of Resurrection, yet they will not be terrified. They are the allies of Allah Almighty, upon whom there is no fear or grief.” (10:62)

(Musnad Aḥmad: 22307)

2.Hazrat Suhaib reported that:

The Holy Prophet, peace, and blessings be upon him, said, “When the people of Paradise enter it, Allah Almighty will say: Would you like anything more? They will say: Have You not brightened our faces? Have You not admitted us into Paradise and saved us from Hellfire? Then, Allah Almighty will lift the veil, and nothing they are given will be more beloved to them than looking at their Lord Allah Almighty.” Then, the Holy Prophet recited the verse, “For those who do good is more.” (10:26)

(Sahih Muslim: 181)

3. One day I went to Hazrat Ibn Masud, who said that:

“When Quraish delayed in embracing Islam, the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) I invoked Allah Almighty to curse them, so they were afflicted with a (famine) 1 year because of which many of them died and they ate the carcasses and Hazrat Abu Sufyan came to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and said, ‘O Muhammad! You came to order people to keep good relation with kith and kin, and your nation is being destroyed, so invoke Allah I? So the Holy Prophet (PBUH) I recited the Holy verses of Surah-Ad-Dukhan: Then watch you For the day that The sky will Bring forth a kind Of smoke visible. When the famine was taken off, the people again renegade as nonbelievers. The statement of Allah (in Sura “Ad-Dukhan”-44) refers to that: ‘On the day when We shall seize You with a mighty grasp. (44.16) And that was what happened on the day of the battle of Badr.” Asbath added on the authority of Mansur, “Allah’s Messenger Holy Prophet (PBUH) prayed for them, and it rained heavily for seven days. So the people complained of the excessive rain. The Prophet (PBUH) said, ‘O Allah! (Let it rain) around us and not on us.’ So the clouds dispersed over his head, and it rained over the surroundings.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari: 1020)
