Someone came to Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) and said, “The donkeys have been (slaughtered and) eaten. When Allah Almighty loves a servant, He calls Hazart Gabriel (A.S) and says: Verily, I so and so; you should also love him, and then Gabriel begins to love him. Then he makes an announcement in the Heaven saying: Allah Almighty loves so and so and you also love him, and then the inhabitants of the Heaven (the Angels) also begin to love him and then there is conferred honor upon him in the earth; and when Allah is angry with any servant, He calls Gabriel and says: I am mad with such and such, and you also become enraged at him, and then Gabriel also becomes angry and then makes an announcement amongst the inhabitants of Heaven: Verily Allah is mad with so-and-so, so you also become enraged at him, and thus they also become angry with him. Then he becomes the object of wrath on the earth also.
(Sahih Muslim: 2637)
5. Narrated to Hazrat Ali that:
Hazrat Fatima went to The Holy Prophet (PBUH) complaining about the harmful effect of the stone hand-mill on her hand. She heard that The Prophet (PBUH) had received a few slave girls. But (when she came there) she did not find him, so she mentioned her problem to Hazrat Aisha. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) came, Hazrat Aisha informed him. Ali added, “So The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) came to us when we had gone to bed. We wanted to get up (on his arrival), but Hazrat Muhammad(PBUH) said, ‘Stay where you are.” Then they came and sat between her and me, and I felt the coldness of his feet on my `Abdomen. He said, “Shall I direct you to something better than what you have requested? When you go to bed, say ‘Subhan Allah’ thirty-three times, ‘Al hamduli li-lah’ thirty-three times, and Allahu Akbar’ thirty-four times, for that is better for you than a servant.
