Few Important Incident in virtues of Surah Al-Maarij

We mention some famous incidents related to Surah Al-Maarij

1. Hazrat Abu Saeed reports that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

The (permanent) inhabitants of the Fire are those who are doomed to it. Surely they would neither die nor live in it, But the people whom the Fire would afflict (temporarily) on account of their sins, or so said (the narrator) on account of their misdeeds,” He would cause them to die till they would be turned into charcoal. Then they would be granted intercession and would be brought in groups and would be spread on the rivers of Paradise and then it would be said: O inhabitants of Paradise, pour water over them; then they would sprout forth like the sprouting of seed in the silt carried by flood. A man among the people said: (It appears) as if the Messenger of Allah lived in the steppe.

(Sahih Muslim: 185)

2. Narrated to Hazrat Abu Saeed Al-Khudri:

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, “The people of Paradise will look at the dwellers of the lofty mansions ( a superior place in Paradise) in the same way as one looks at a brilliant star far away in the East or the West on the horizon; all that is because of their superiority over one another (in rewards).” The people said, “O Allah’s Messenger Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)! Are these lofty mansions for the prophets that nobody else can reach? The Prophet (PBUH) replied,” No! “By Allah in whose Hands my life is, these are for the men who believed in Allah and also believed in the Apostles.

(Sahih al-Bukhari: 3256)

3. Hazrat Ibn Abbas reported that Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) as saying:

If there were for the son of Adam a valley full of riches, he would long to possess another one like it. And Ibn Adam does not feel satiated but with dust. And Allah returns to him who returns (to Him). Ibn Abbas said: I do not know whether it is from the Qur’an or not, and in the narration transmitted by Zuhair it was said: I do not know whether it is from the Qur’an, and he made no mention of Ibn Abbas.

(Sahih Muslim: 1049)

4-Hazrat Abu Zarr Ghaffari narrated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

“Indeed, I see what you do not see, and I hear what you do not hear. The Heavens moan, and they have the right to moan. There is no spot, the size of four fingers in them, except that an angel is placing his forehead in it, prostrating to Allah. By Allah! If you knew what I know, you would laugh little and cry much. And you would not taste the pleasures of your women in the beds, and you would go out beseeching Allah. And I wish that I was but a felled tree.” [Abu ‘Eisa said:] There are narrations on this topic from ‘Aishah, Abu Hurairah, Ibn Abbas, and Anas. [He said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib. It has been related through routes other than this that Abu Zarr said: “I wish that I was a felled tree.” And it has been related from Abu Dharr in Mawquf form.

(Jamia at-Tirmidhi: 2312)

Conclusion

Man demanded that the day of judgment might come at once. The day, whose space is fifty thousand years, will surely come. Muhammad to bear the insults of the infidels patiently because judgment is near riches, children and friends will not save the wicked from hell. The wicked are niggardly in health, but full of complaint when evil befalleth.
