1. Dawud reported from Amir who said that :

I asked Alqama if Ibn Masud was present with the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) on the night of the Jinn (when the Prophet met them). He (Ibn Masuad) said: No, but we were in the company of the Messenger of Allah Holy Prophet(PBUH) one night, and we missed him. We searched for him in the valleys and the hills and said. He has either been taken away (by Jinn) or has been secretly killed. He (the narrator) said. We spent the worst night that people could ever spend. When it was dawn, we saw him coming from the side of Hiri. He (the narrator) reported. We said: Messenger of Allah, we missed you and searched for you, but we could not find you and we spent the worst night which people could ever spend. He (the Holy Prophet) said: There came to me an inviter on behalf of the Jinn, and I went along with him and recited to them the Quran. He (the narrator) said: He then went along with us and showed us their embers’ traces. They (the Jinn) asked him (The Holy Prophet) about their provision, and he said: Every bone on which the name of Allah is recited is your provision. The time it will fall in your hand it would be covered with flesh, and the dung of (the camels) is fodder for your animals. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Don’t perform Istinja with these (things) for these are the food of your brothers (Jinn).

(Sahih Muslim: 450)

2. Narrated to Salim’s father:

Once Hazrat Gabriel promised to visit the Prophet (PBUH), he delayed, and the Prophet (PBUH) got worried about that. At last, he came out and found Gabriel and complained to him of his grief (for his delay). Gabriel said to him, “We do not enter a place where there is a picture or a dog.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari: 5960)

3. Narrated to Hazrat Ibn Abbas (RA):

Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) went out with a group of his companions towards Ukaz Market. At that time something intervened between the devils and the news of the Heaven, and flames were sent down upon them, so the devils returned. Their fellow devils said, “What is wrong with you? ” They said, “Something has intervened between us and the news of the Heaven, and fires (flames) have been shot at us.” Their fellow devils said, “Nothing has intervened between you and the news of the Heaven, but an important event has happened. Therefore, travel worldwide, east and west, and try to find out what has happened.” And so they set out and traveled all over the world, east and west, looking for what intervened between them and the news of the Heaven. Those of the devils who had set out towards Tihama went to Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) at Nakhla (a place between Mecca and Taif) while he was going to Ukaz Market. (They met him) while he was offering the Fajr prayer with his companions. When they heard the Holy Quran being recited (by Allah’s Messenger (PBUH)), they listened to it and said (to each other). This is the thing which has intervened between you and the news of the Heavens.” Then they returned to their people and said, O our people! We have heard a wonderful recital (Quran). It gives guidance to the right, and we have believed therein. We shall not join in worship, anybody with our Lord.” (Then Allah revealed to His Prophet (Surat al-Jinn): ‘Say: It has been revealed to me that a group (3 to 9) of Jinns listened (to the Qur’an). The statement of the Jinns was revealed to him.
