1. It is Narrated to Hazrat Abu Huraira:

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, “Allah said: ‘The son of Adam tells a lie against Me,, though he hasn’t the right to do so. He abuses me though he hasn’t the right to do so. As for his telling a lie against Me, it is his saying that I will not recreate him as I created him for the first time. The first creation was not easier for Me than the new creation. As for his abusing Me, it is his saying that Allah has begotten children, while I am the One, the Self-Sufficient Master Whom all creatures need, I beget not, nor was I begotten, and there is none like unto Me.

2. Narrated to Hazrat Ayesha:
The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad(PBUH) sent (an army unit) under the command of a man who used to lead his companions in the prayers and would finish his recitation with (the Sura 112): Say (O Muhammad): “He is Allah, the One.” When they returned (from the battle), they mentioned that to the Prophet. He said (to them), “Ask him why he does so.” They asked him, and he said, “I do so because it mentions the qualities of the Beneficent, and I love to recite it (in my prayer).” The Prophet; said (to them), “Tell him that Allah loves him.

3. Narrated to Hazrat Ibn e Abbas:

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) recited aloud in the prayers in which he was ordered to do so and quietly in the prayers in which he was ordered to do so. “And your Allah is not forgetful.” “Verily, there was an excellent example for you in the ways of the Prophet.

4. It is reported on the authority of Hazrat Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah Almighty Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) said:
Get together, for I am going to recite one-third of the Quran before you. And those who could get together gathered there. Then the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) recited:” Say: He, Allah, is One.” He then entered (his house). Some of us said to the others: Perhaps there has been some news from the heaven on account of which he has gone Inside (the house). The Messenger of Allah Almighty Hazrat Muhammad(PBUH) again came out and said: I told you that I would recite one-third of the Quran; keep in mind, this (Surah Ikhlas) is equivalent to one-third of the Quran.

Conclusion

This Surah has many Names, but its famous name is Al-Ikhlas because this Surah describes the oneness of Allah Almighty. This sura is one of the recipients of many different titles. It is a short statement of tawhid, the perfect unity of Allah, consisting of four verses. Al-Ikhlas means “purity” or “purification.”
