We mention some famous incidents related to Surah Al-Balad

1. Narrated to Hazrat Ibn e Umar:

At Mina, The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, “Do you know what is the day today?” The people replied, “Allah and His Apostle know it better.” He said, “It is the forbidden (sacred) day. And do you know what town is this?” They replied, “Allah and His Apostle know it better.” He said, “This is the forbidden (Sacred) town (Makkah). And do you know which month is this?” The people replied, “Allah and His Apostle know it better.” He said, “This is the forbidden (sacred) month.” The Holy Prophet (PBUH) added, “No doubt, Allah made your blood, your properties, and your honor sacred to one another like the sanctity of this day of yours in this month of yours in this town of yours.” Narrated to Ibn `Umar: On the Day of Nahr (10th of Dhul-Hajj), the Prophet (PBUH) stood in between the Jamrat during his Hajj which he performed (as in the previous Hadith) and said, “This is the greatest Day (10th of Dhul-Hijjah).” The Prophet (PBUH) started repeatedly saying, “O Allah! Be Witness (I have conveyed Your Message).” He then bade the people farewell. The people said, “This is Hajjat-al-Wada`).

2. Hazrat Ayesha reported that :

I said to The Messenger of Allah, the son of Judan established ties of relationship, fed the poor. Would that be of any avail to him? He said: It would be of no avail to him as he did not ever say: O my Allah, pardon my sins on the Day of Resurrection.

(Sahih Muslim: 214)

3. narrated to Hazrat Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) observed:

He who intended to do good but did not do it, one interest was recorded for him, and he who intended to do good and did it, ten to seven hundred good deeds were recorded for him. And he who intended evil, but did not commit it, no entry was made against his name, but if he achieved that, it was recorded.

(Sahih Muslim: 130)

4. Hazrat Abu Umamah, and other than him from the Companions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said:

Any Muslim man who frees a Muslim man, then it is his salvation from the Fire – each of his limbs suffices for a limb of himself. And any Muslim man that frees two Muslim women, they are his salvation from the Fire – each of their limbs suffices for a limb of himself. And any Muslim woman who frees a Muslim woman is her salvation from the Fire – each of her limbs suffices for a limb of herself.

Conclusion

In this Surah, Allah explained that Man, though created in misery, boasts of his riches. Captives to be freed and the poor and orphan to be fed. Description of the companions of the right and left hand.
